Terms of Service

Last updated: April 11, 2026

By accessing NewsDesk (“Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Services. Replace entity names, governing law, and arbitration clauses with your legal team’s final language.

1. License to content

Journalism is protected by copyright. You may browse and share links. You may not scrape, systematically download, or republish full articles without a license. Limited quotation for criticism or news reporting may be fair use / fair dealing — consult counsel.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us of unauthorized use. We may suspend accounts for breach, fraud, or risk to others.

3. Acceptable use

No unlawful, harassing, or harmful conduct. No interference with infrastructure, no impersonation of staff, no attempt to obtain data you are not authorized to access.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Fees, renewal, and cancellation follow the checkout terms you present at purchase. Taxes may apply. Refunds follow your published policy.

5. Disclaimers

Services are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. News and data (including market figures) may contain errors — see our corrections policy in About.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Aggregate liability may be capped at fees paid in the prior twelve months — your counsel should set caps for your jurisdiction.

7. Governing law

Specify courts and governing law for your operating company (e.g., State of New York, USA). Dispute resolution (litigation vs. arbitration) should match your employment and vendor contracts.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance where allowed by law.
